Are there times when you are reading something online or come up with an idea and want a quick e-mail a friend or colleague? It may be hard to believe, but some people not get their e-mail client open all day have! As a time saver for those people we can make a shortcut on the desktop e-mail. This is helpful if you e-mail contact name (s) on a regular basis.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and go to New \ Shortcut.
Next name the shortcut something so you will memorize what it is for and click on Finish.
Because it is an e-mail and Outlook is my default mail client, Outlook-style one associates Vista icon for the shortcut. I do not know how it will look with different customers, but you can always change the Desktop Icon. Now every time the shortcut is your default email program will open with the recipients email address already filled in.
If you want to send the email off to various contacts then just separate each email address with a semi-colon. Confidently this time saver will be helpful to somebody out there!
