Lots of require utilities to be run as an administrator to function, especially elder utilities which are not updated to support Vista.
All shortcuts in Windows Vista have a special characteristic that you can place the application to work as an administrator. This works perfectly to make a batch file to reboot a service.
To set this feature, just right-click on any shortcut>> click the Advanced button on the Shortcut page to find to the Advanced Properties dialog.
You will see a dialog with a checkbox for “Run as administrator”.
From now on, the application will constantly run as administrator if you use the shortcut to launch it.
