Windows Vista contains a screen capture/screenshot tool that is really attractive decent. You can get region captures or full screenshots and simply save them using this tool.

The only issue with this tool is that there is no hotkey to carry up the window. But we will fix that…

Bring up the Start Menu>> click on All Programs>>Click the Accessories folder, and you will see the Snipping Tool.

Right click >> go to the Properties screen. You will see a Shortcut key text box:

The only irritating thing with this trick is that you can not use the PrintScreen key but no problem. I assigned Ctrl + F12 because that is something simple to memorize that I don not use for anything else.
