When you enter user credentials into Internet Explorer, map a drive to a remote server, or connect to a Windows domain, you are given the chance to save your password. What you may not understand is that you can backup or restore the list of those credentials using a mostly hidden control panel efficacy.
To open up this utility, start >>menu search box>>type control userpasswords2 >>click enter.
Click on the Advanced tab >>click on the Manage Passwords key, On the resultant User Accounts screen.
You will see the list of your stored network credentials here. For example I have got saved credentials for all the remote desktop sessions that I use. I do not have any web permit in here because I use Firefox. You can click on the Add/Edit buttons if you feel like editing the items in the list.
To backup the list of user logon credentials, right now click on the Back up key, and a wizard will occur.
Click the Browse button and select a name for the file. Make sure it is something unforgettable. Once you click the Next button you will be taken to a somewhat strange screen.
That is right, you have to click Ctrl+Alt+Delete to actually backup the credentials, and you will be asked for a password to protected the file. Make confident that something unforgettable or else you would not be capable to restore the credentials later.
Click on the Restore button, select the backup file and then you will be prompted to Ctrl + Alt + Delete Again, if you want to restore the authority of the backup.
You will be asked for the matching password you created previously, and the credentials will be restored.
