You may have to deal with squeezing every last drop of performance from your machine, or may have compatibility issues between Aero and the application that you are using. In any case you are looking for the easiest technique to stop Aero, that at the time of application and here it is.
You can edit the properties of the shortcut and tell Windows to automatically stop Aero, as soon as you start that application and then re-enable it again gone you close the application.
Just right-click on the shortcut and select Properties and after that the Compatibility tabs:
Now on the block Settings check the boxes for “Disable desktop composition” in order to disable Aero next time the label.
If you are having other compatibility problems we would suggest using the compatibility modes on this same dialog. Note that we have covered Win7/Vista compatibility mode before, but we think it is helpful to point this out specially.
