    Default Windows 7 permission problems

    Hello,all

I cannot get Windows7 permission and can I get permission to view particular files and folders on hard drive. Again installing Windows 7 or booting to a CD can’t help. Can I copy files and folders?

    Can anyone give suggestions?

Right click on folder, and choose "properties", go to security tab, tick "advanced" button, then go to "owner tab", then tick "edit", then highlight your user account in "change owner to" sector, then press OK on all windows. You should OK all windows earlier than you do next step.

Currently you have rights of folder and its files, go to properties of folder, security tab, click "edit", then highlight user account then click box "full control" in "allow" column, press OK.

There are some folders in Windows 7, which are not available, nor of any practical value, to user. Which folders are giving you problem?

But, you utilize attached file. Unzip it and you get two reg files. If you execute “Take ownership" file, you get right click choice on files and folders, which permit you to mechanize "Take ownership" process.

Thanks for successful answer, to unreachable My Pictures & My Music "library" folders from earlier Win7 installation.

It is all fine, but would you also recognize what little padlock pictures showing on all files and folders? There is no difficulty with them but I would remove them. None of the files or folders is showing read only or hidden attributes.
