Thread: My Memory diagnostic tool problem resolution

Hi,

The problem is that I am using Windows 7RC. It was having no problems with something, just exploring OS. I started windows memory diagnostic tool control panel. Now I can’t obtain out of it. There is no response to escape or exit. Reboot or memory diagnostic tool. Attempt to boot in safe mode, it takes me directly to memory diagnostic tool. Tried to boot into bios, it took me to memory diagnostic tool. Lastly I uninstalled two sticks of Kingston KVR800D2N5/1G; then again installed those hoping that would modify things. Booted up, it went to memory diagnostic tool. I have no idea what is causing this. Any help would be respected here. I use an Asus P5B-E motherboard.

Did you allow the memory diagnostic to complete run?

Yes, PC is supposed to restart, right? Instead it restarts memory test. This is a cycle it repeats over and over.

Allow memory test to run and I expect that it would start into windows after it completed. But test only started over same as earlier.

Then also system restore run. I thought that should work. Nothing happen. It booted directly into memory test. I have no ideas. May ends with reinstalling Win7RC.
