I have a client running SBS 2003 server has all most recent patches installed. Every sometimes users are unable to verify to domain in any way. When you attempt to go to RWW or OWA page does not show reporting service unavailable, users are unable to log into workstations being told they have wrong username and password, administrator account cannot log into server when sitting at machine. The only way to solve problem is to hard boot machine then all goes back to regular. When I enable to log in system all events in system log prior to hard boot are gone. The only thing I can see is that once the event has occurred application log throws about 1000 Exchange AL Errors with event id 8026 each second. Because of this we are only able to say that event has occurred but are unable to locate a reason.
