Thread: Not able to find drivers for Windows 7

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-CR220E and installed Windows 7. Sony has decided not to give driver updates for my model as PC is supposedly incapable of running Windows 7. I am having problem getting drivers for memory card reader, microphone, and webcam. And function keys don't work, and volume buttons work but don't show on screen like they used to. The touchpad doesn't scroll anymore.

I have tried to repair problems by downloading original drivers/software from the Sony eSupport website but none of them work properly, possibly because versions on model-specific page are for Vista only. They either won't install at all, or cause big problems. I had to uninstall all I put on it instantly.

Does anybody recognize what particular drivers/programs I want, and where I can obtain Windows 7 compatible versions?

Have you tried Vista drivers? I have found they work in many cases.

I have used Vista drivers. They install effectively but hardware still not works. I have tried to run them generally and in compatibility mode. Nothing happens.

If I attempt to use webcam, the program shows message that camera is in use by another program. All other things just don't respond at all.
