Thread: My New Laptop Powers down after a few seconds

Hello,everyone

I have HP Pavilion Dv9500 running Vista. I will switch it on and after a few seconds the laptop will off. It is not because of overheating, not because of the Power Plug. I have no idea what the problem is.

I have thought that also but shouldn't the laptop run well without power supply

To help decide if it is a software or hardware problem, do you have a live cd you can boot from, to decide if machine will stay up if it don’t then that rules out your windows being problem, and points to a hardware problem.

The PC doesn't wait on long for anything to occur it will exactly shut off in 4 seconds after I turn it on. I have tried going into BIOS but it will shut off before it has possibility to obtain to it.
