Hi,
In recent times my laptop has shows this message on start up ''NTLDR is missing, press any key to restart''. It will not allow me to go further. I have rang Dell who advised me to restore PC. The problem is when I boot from CD Drive to do restore, it finishes ''loading windows files'' but then stops reading from disc just before the first language selection screen. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720 and vista is already installed. Any help will be appreciated. I have heard it may be due to a faulty CD drive which will stop system from booting, but have also heard it is corrupted files which would want to be repaired. Actually I am confused and hope you can help me.
Thanks.
