Default The Windows Vista boot up failure

    Hi everyone,

my laptop has entirely died after updating from windows. It won’t go into safe mode and when I attempt log in "normally" it hangs before startup screen. I don’t have any start up or recovery discs and at wits end as what to do?

I am using work laptop to attempt source a file that I can possibly download and use to boot up laptop with but as I am a beginner at this kind of thing I actually don’t know which way to go.

    Please someone help me?

    hi,

Is there drive "E" on Presario with a copy of your Operating system on it?
When you say you have tried to obtain safe mode did you use Function Key f8 after first screen when starting, I have a Presario also and you have to continue pressing and releasing f8, not just push it. It may take 20 or 30 tries to get it to work.

Yes I know about f8; through safe mode choice does not load. I have a dual core laptop with a c: and d: drive?

You could attempt the downloadable Vista boot disc.

It looks like nrtl file error? I have downloaded a patch to work off an usb. But that doesn’t look to work?
