ONCE Windows has completed the booting process, there are several applications that run in the background and utilize system resources. If you want to run a new application as an important background process, it may not be a wise move to terminate any other processes. On the other hand, you can set process priorities using the task manager. You can give a higher priority to the process that is important. To set process priorities, follow the steps below:

Press, the (Ctrl), [Alt] and [Del] keys together. You will now be able to view:the Task,Manager' window.

Browse for an appropriate process.

Right-click the process and select 'Set priority' from the context menu. You will now be able to view a list of options.

To give the process the highest priority, select the 'Real time' option.
