Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor is a utility from Microsoft that permits you to decide if your Windows XP based PC can run Vista. It’s intended to help XP users recognize which version of Vista meets their requirements, whether their PCs can be upgraded to Vista, and which aspects of Vista will be able to run on their PCs. If you are already running Vista you can also utilize Upgrade Advisor to decide if PC can run more powerful version of Vista.

It will scan PC and make a report of all known system, device, and program compatibility problems, and suggest methods to solve them. It can also help you to select version of Windows Vista has aspects that will advantage you most.
Earlier than starting scan, plug in any devices that you use with PC, like printers, scanners, hard drives so they can be detected by utility.

After installing Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor double tick the icon to run it. Click Start Scan button to start process. When it’s finish it will show results of scan.
