Thread: Windows Vista Sidebar and Gadgets

Windows Sidebar is a vertical bar that is shown on side of desktop and has mini programs known as gadgets, which present information and give simple access to often utilized tools. Windows Sidebar maintains information and tools eagerly available for you to use when you want them. E.g. you can have news headlines or current weather shown so you know what is going on in real time.



Windows having little set of gadgets but you can download more gadgets online to do just about anything. To include gadgets from Sidebar just click on plus sign on the add gadget button to open gadget gallery.

You get list of gadgets installed on PC. To include a gadget to Sidebar just right click gadget and prefer add or drag it into Sidebar.



To delete a gadget right tick gadget and choose Close Gadget. You can also drag gadgets from Sidebar onto desktop.

For Sidebar options, right tick on Sidebar and choose Properties.



From here you can set choices like having Sidebar begin with Windows and which side of screen you want to have it shown. To access Windows Sidebar go to Start, All Programs, Accessories and click on Windows Sidebar.
