Thread: OS Vista 32bit or OS Vista 64bit for Gaming

What is difference between OS Vista 32bit and Vista 64 bit? Please provide me some information.

Running 64-bit applications on 64-bit OS doesn't give up results in these kinds of benchmarks. Problem is little data sets utilized in 3D rendering tests, where most of clean 64-bit benchmarks were run. I will be looking into bigger data set rendering tests for future use. If something, test shows what moving to 64-bit can do, in correct conditions.

Result for gaming like Supreme Commander, new PC games frequently exceeds 2GB limit. Application obtains 2GB partition when running on 64-bit Vista means large game obtains bit more memory than on 32-bit OS.

Alternatively, 32-bit application running on Vista 64 must think through WoW64 subsystem, which is how 32-bit Windows applications run on Vista 64-bit. With games, it looks that having that additional bit of space in memory partition helps.
