Thread: Removing vista recovery partition

I have installed windows 7 installed on my system the main partition on my HDD (C and I still have the vista recovery partition (D: ). I want to know how windows 7 is working can I remove this recovery partition and how do I go about that. Thanks in advance for your help.

Go into Disk Management and delete it. Try to post a screenshot of your Disk Management window.

If you lose your system and do not have a backup image you will have to reload Windows + all your installed software + all your data if you have it stored somewhere. If you have a backup image on another partition you just pop your recovery disk in and bingo 15-20 minutes later you restart and you have your complete system as of the date you made your last backup image. If you backup to DVD's it takes a little longer but it's still better then say reloading 20-30 applications.
