If Sony DSC-W380/S Digital camera is not detected by PC, it is probably that camera requires particular driver to copy images. This driver is usually available on website of company of digital camera or on driver software disc that came with hardware. Install driver and again attach digital camera to PC.
Also try to solve this problem by utility troubleshooting hardware. This wizard looks for general problems, and makes sure that new devices and hardware attached to PC have been properly installed. Ensure that digital camera is on. Check that camera has different PC mode for connection with PC.
Start troubleshoot wizard for this digital camera, start Troubleshooting hardware and peripherals, go to start, click Control Panel. In Search box, type Utility Troubleshooter. Then click Troubleshooting. In Hardware and Sound, Click Configure Device. Then give administrator password for confirmation.
