Thread: Vista Doesn’t make absent Microphone

I had Microphone which has died totally. So decided to buy new one and bought new one and tried to Plug it into slot, but nothing is occurring. Vista doesn’t even identify that there is new device or microphone inserted there. So please help me to solve this problem.

Check input or port options for sound card. Check sound device settings in control panel to ensure it's not pointing elsewhere. Also check hardware panels where place the microphone.

Check whether microphone is detected by Vista or not. If not, check whether you have chosen frontal microphone or rear, as vista identifies them independently unlike XP. Approved configuration of front/rear mic if required.
