Thread: Error 999 shown in Windows vista

I have custom created desktop with vista. But now when I start my PC it asks to begin repair. It shows two options Launch Startup Repair or Start windows normally. But when I select any one of them it shows error code 999. So please help me to solve this error. Any help will be appreciated.

Try to install antivirus on PC the antivirus will certainly help you to delete viruses which damaging system files. And this will solve your error.

May be PC is infected by virus and virus corrupted few registry files. So install RegCure Registry Cleaner. This is good and strong tool which repair all registry files and make system working again.

If you aren’t permitted to start usually. You can still boot in safe mode and then open command prompt and run command chkdsk /R. If this also fails then format hard disk. This mark bad sectors of hard disk as impracticable and make hard drive useful.
