In Vista, users required to improve drivers for PCs and laptops. When connecting printer to Vista laptop, be certain you have drivers and connection is done with printer. The printer installed on network or connects to laptop by USB cable. After printer is installed, print images and documents from laptop.
Instructions
• Connect USB cable from printer to laptop.
• Go to "Start" and choose "Control Panel." Double-click "Printers", then open "Add Printer".
• Choose whether printer is local installation or network. If it's network printer, enter place of printer with syntax: \\computer_name\printer
For network printer, click "Next". Drivers are installed from network.
• For local installation, port is necessary as next step. Leave it as default printer port. tick "Next."
• Click "Have Disk" to install printer drivers. Ensure CD or DVD is in drive. Click "OK" and drivers will installed.
• Tick "Next." Enter printer name or leave it default. Click "Next." Print test page but it's not necessary. Printer is now installed on Vista laptop.
