    Default Disable vista search indexing

I am having the desktop computer system which has the Windows vista operating system. I have lots of folders on my desktop, which has increased to sizeable number of folders, and to search the specific folder it becomes very hard, I friend tell me the windows vista has the search indexer facility which allows effective search of folder from the desktop. I enable that but it takes lot of time to search folder from the desktop. Currently I disable that feature how I do that. I am not getting any solution for my problem and need some help for solving that problem.

Vista offers a new indexing service which develops better desktop search. Good desktop search tools index your HDD only when the computer is idle. This looks to be different with Vista. To get the fast searching speed, indexing service plays a main role. Windows Vista starts to crawl and index files on HDD right after installed with a low priority background process.
