    Microsoft has launched different versions Windows operating system throughout the years. One of the most famous Windows OS is Windows Vista. Windows Vista Home Basic is part of six different editions of Vista.

    • Windows Vista Home Basic was launched in late 2006. There are two versions of Home Basic: 32-bit and 64-bit.

    • Windows Vista Home Basic contains basic features like Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Mail and Windows Games. Home Basic supports a max of 8GB of RAM.

    • Vista Home Basic does not have all the features or capabilities of other editions of Vista. They don’t have features like Remote Desktop, BitLocker Encryption, Windows Media Center and Multilingual User Interface packs, among others.

    • Vista Home Basic needs almost 800-MHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 20-GB hard drive, CD-Rom drive and support for super VGA graphics.
