    Default BSOD at a halt install Vista

    I have Gigabye 8I848P-G Motherboard. I am trying to install Windows Vista on my workstation and facing this problem. every time I press F6, I get BSOD.

    Anybody have any ideas?

    Have you checkered the BIOS settings? Ideally it ought to be like this:

    SATA RAID/AHCI Mode: AHCI
    SATA Port0-3 Native Mode: Enabled
    Onboard SATA/IDE Control Mode: AHCI

    Your hard drive must have a tiny athlete install to force SATA 1 process. Just find it and remove for 3.0GB/s process. Should solve your problem.
