Thread: Disable hibernation in vista

Hi. I am using a computer installed with windows vista operating system. I want to disable hibernation mode. If you are having any solution for that, then please provide that solution to me. It will be thankful to you.

You can disable the hibernation mode through Disk Cleanup. Follow the steps given below:

• Go to Start and type disk cleanup and press Enter

• choose All files from this computer

• choose the drive where Vista is installed

• Wait for Vista to finish scanning the files

• Check the Hibernation File Cleaner option and after that click OK

• If prompted to delete files, click the Delete Files button.

Turning off hibernation manually

1. Click start >>Type: cmd

2. right-click it under programs

3. click Run As Administrator

4. Type: powercfg -h off and then Hit enter
