Thread: How to Restrict Drive opportunity in Vista

I am using a computer system installed with windows Vista. In my E drive i have stored my important files and documents. I am scare if somebody deletes my important files and document. So, it is possible to restrict that drive. Is there any solution on this? Please suggest some solution. Please reply me as soon as possible.

Use the steps which are listed below:

• Go to start, run, and type gpedit.msc then hit Enter.

• Click Continue for the UAC prompt.

• Click on User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and Windows Explorer.

• Right click on Prevent access to drives from My Computer and click Properties.

• To Restrict a Drive Access:-

• Dot Enabled and choose the drive or mixture of drives option that you would like to set as secret.

• Click on OK.

• Close the Local Group Policy Editor window.
