Thread: Run Check Disk at create in Vista

I am trying to run check disk on my computer but i am unable to do so. I am using windows vista operating system. Please tell me how I can run in my Windows XP. Is vista there is another steps is there? If yes then let me know that. It is highly appreciated.

To run Check disk in your Vista System, Follow these steps:-

• Open the Start Menu and then Right click on your HDD and click on Properties.

• Click on the Tools tab.

• Click on Check Now under the Error checking section.

• Click on Continue in the UAC prompt.

• Ensure both options are checked. Automatically

• Click on the Start button.

• You will get a pop-up window saying, "Windows can't check this disk while it's use".

• Click on the Schedule disk check button for chkdsk to run

• Reboot your PC.
