Default Vista activation on another computer

I have Windows Vista Home Premium which was installed on my computer. I consequently installed Windows 7 RC and most lately the marketable Windows 7 Professional.

I make pc for my child. On attempt installation of Windows Vista it position the activation code has previously been use.

As this Vista is not installed on other machine is there a way to allow activation on this another computer?

Is the Vista DVD a sell copy? If the disk was a branded OEM disk it is joined to the first machine by way of hardware serial numbers and a reactivation from the producer. That would make it impracticable on any extra system.

For a disk purchase individually even an OEM from a vendor like Newegg that would be a system builder's type OEM disk future to accompany any system built for sale since the disk goes with the build. But that wouldn't see this type of message. It sounds like you are trying to use a recognized recovery disk on another machine which would be reason for that being seen.

Confirm that your Phone is near your computer as they will give you a new key to enter. Then if you ever want to reinstall windows7 once more you can use your unique Key.

With retail Vista and being a complete version the message you saw look a bit odd. When first building this case and getting Vista on it ran for a some days before the first board gave out for no reason. With the substitute board in being the correct same make and model the may be a fake copy of Windows message was then seen in one corner of the desktop. A quick call in to MS saw that accurate.

This was just an updated attempt by MS there to confirm you are running a genuine copy of Windows. If you had seen that with a branded recovery disk however you wouldn't have the selection to call and get anywhere.
