    Default Windows Vista Desktop

I've tried right clicking on it to see if I could acquire some properties or more information, but can acquire nothing. The buttons are for the Vaio Music Box, Vaio Movie Story, Arc Soft Web, Click to Disk, and IE. I actually don't want these on my desktop, but can't work out how to acquire rid of them. I don't even know what this "button bar" is called so that I can search for answers. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? Does anybody have an answer to this? BTW, it is not the Vista Sidebar. it's completely dissimilar from that.

You can stop them from running as windows start Click Start, Run and type in msconfig Click Enter, Click on Start-Up Tab and uncheck the matching programs, Click "Apply" and then Exit.

The items on this button bar do work, though I do not want this item on my desktop. They bottoms grouped together as a particular item. I am not able to right click and get any information on it. I cannot stop them in the msconfig startup as they do not show as individual items. Again, I don't know what this group of items on this floating toolbar is called. I'm troubled that it might be something connected with Sony and not Vista, but don't actually know. I tried to include a snippet of this thing.

If you go in the Programs Features in the Control Panel you can as well look there for any prepackage Vaio items to see it is listed there for removal.

really if you want a good substitute toolbar besides using the fast launch bar on the Start taskbar to help clean the whole desktop a freeware called Rocket Dock will work for that and can be set to auto hide until you run the mouse cursor over it.
