    Default Windows Vista can’t boot

I can't boot into the windows Vista. I can acquire the MS logo, and then the screen goes black and not anything. Can't boot into safe mode, can't boot from the Vista CD. Crazy thing I tried after some hours, I put a windows XP disk in and it booted Vista from that, but I couldn't do it again after that once good computer, 4gb RAM, it's been well for a couple of years. This look to have happened out of the blue, but I know nothing on computer occur out of the blue.

    Give me some help.

I give you suggestion that you Try take out your ram sticks and then put them back in. Sometimes it's just a dirty connection.

It could be the RAM. Did the computer create beeps in computer it could maybe be your GPU giving out? What monitor do you have CRT or LCD? Because possibly it’s crapping out on you.

I will try the RAM sticks in a bit. I don't think it's the GPU since when I obtain the black screen, the hard disks light stops. Also, I set the graphics card in a different computer and it works well. Not sure about the beeps, I'll listen for them. It posts ok, now cuts out when I acquire to the OS logo.

It’s not RAM, Hard disks drive, GPU, so I thought that's what it's receiving narrowed down to as of at present.

If you have a Vista DVD or was this preinstalled copy of Vista by the producer. If you weren't given a put of recovery disks try downloading the 120mb recovery disk repair tools simply iso disk image for the 32bit or 64bit Vista.

One time you download the right image for the version you are running burn that to a cd-r and boot up from it. You can't reinstall Vista but that just have the repair tools from any unique Vista installation disk. In its place of clicking the Install Now buttong below that is the repair tools link where it then notice the installation and you select the startup repair option.

Get the real windows Vista DVD I set in a brand new HDD and I couldn't even boot to that. I'm thoughts it's a MB problem, though someone said to me that it could be a processor problem, that the processor can't handle the OS anymore for some reason. Never heard of that before, but with computer who knows?

After a year or two those tend to weak or just quit at times making you wonder what hardware is toast! But afterward it just turns out to a little 2-3 item in most retail stores.

That proposes the bad case scenario of seeing a bad cap on the board. If you can acquire in there with a small flashlight and magnifying glass you will have to seem for any bulged out or leaky caps or any discoloration on the board. Unless the CPU is dying. It sounds more like a board component like a cap is spent.

You might not be able to spot which one however if it just gave out without any visible symbols depending on which one or more went. When first starting do you still hear a single default beep or none at all? Many beeps will point to a hardware problem like for continuous beeps sign of cpu problem or memory problem, one long and two short beeps video card problem.

Single beep, which is usual I consider. Haven't check the board for terrible caps, will perform that quickly.

On one build here a fresh board just gave out after just a some days of use exclusive of warning and no visible damage was found on clcoe examination. The bios EPROM was supposed for that though since it not at all made the first post screen and all shut off in seconds. In your case it sounds more typical of a awful cap there though as you were capable to rule out the supply, memory, hard drive.
