Windows Vista - versions of Microsoft Windows NT, ruler of operating systems used on personal computers.

In Windows NT product lineup new system is a version number of 6.0 (Windows 2000 - 5.0, Windows XP - 5.1, Windows Server 2003 - 5.2). To indicate "Windows Vista" is sometimes used abbreviation "WinVI", which brings together the name "Vista" and the version number recorded in Roman numerals.

Windows Vista, like Windows XP, the system only client. In July, Microsoft announced an intention to formally submit the server version of Windows Vista - Windows Server 2008 at a special event on 27 February this year.

November 30, 2006 Microsoft officially released Windows Vista and Office 2007 to corporate clients. January 30, 2007 began selling system for ordinary users.
