I like to sometimes upgrade my computer. Whenever I do so, I am always facing with a problem. This time I shifted to yahoo classic, and now I get the message you may be a victim of counterfeit software, your computer may be at risk.
The computer mechanic says that formatting will have to be done to get rid of the problem. This will cost Rs. 3001- I am repeatedly asked not to upgrade my computer. Is this true? I am glad I chanced upon Computer Active.
This message is due to a copy of pirated Windows XP installed on your Pc. Whenever a pirated copy of Windows XP is updated, this message pops up. Using pirated software has its own pitfalls Formatting the hard drive will not solve the purpose as again the
computer mechanic will install a pirated copy of Windows. The viable solution to this is to install a genuine copy of Windows.
