Vista includes a handy file security feature known as Previous Versions, which makes it possible to revert to an earlier version of a document after making unwanted changes. In order for this feature to work, System Restore must be enabled on the drives you wantto protect.

Open the Control Panel,c1ick the System and Maintenance link followed by System, and then click System protection in the left-hand task pane. Now tick the drives that should be protected. Create a new restore point and your files will be protected.To roll back to a previous version of a file, right-click it and select'Restore previous versions'before selecting which version you are interested in.
