Following, the day before yesterday would not boot my Windows Vista Home 64 bit. File: \ windows \ system32 \ config \ system Status: 0xc00000e9 Info: Windows could not start because the system registry file is missing or damaged.
So, now recommends a win to insert the Vista DVD and use the repair function. No sooner said than done. I go to "Repair Your Computer" and to select the operating system. It seems not to exist - even if takes Bootrec.exe / ScanOs Vista! Luckily you get to the point will still work. So I tried to repair the operating system Unknown to Unknown. The fact nothing could be, I thought so. Is found in the log as a root cause, which was supposedly fixed, too, "The partition table does not contain a valid system partition". That this error was not fixed, I mean it can be seen that after each start from the Vista DVD that same should be happening and repaired.
At first I thought that the C: drive is over, but Knoppix lets me see all the files back up to the plate and - so they will hardly be broken? So I got myself saved the hard drive diagnostic of the Ultimate Boot CD. How could these problems be solved, without having to reinstall Vista? And why does / ScanOs Vista on F: for if all Windows files on C: are? (Because the boot sector, possibly on F: is).
