Undertake the following steps to turn off System Restore on a selected drive.

1. Move the mouse-pointer over My Computer icon. present on Desktop, and click the right mouse-button. A shortcut menu appears.

2. Inside shortcut menu, move the mouse-pointer over Properties option and click the left mouse-button.

3. A System Properties dialog box appears with number of tabs.

4. In System Properties dialog box, move the mouse¬pointer over the System Restore tab and click the left mouse-button.

5. Options present under System Restore tab appears. This tab lists various hard disk volumes present on a computer. Select a hard disk volume on which you want to turn-off the System Restore. For instance. move the mouse-pointer over hard disk volume Books (E and click the left mouse-button.

6. Next. move the mouse-pointer over the Settings button and click the left mouse-button.

7. A Settings dialog box for selected volume appears. In our case Drive IE Settings dialog box appears.

8. Move the mouse-pointer over check box beside Turn off System Restore on this drive and click the left mouse-button. A tick mark appears inside the check box indicating turn off system restore option has been selected for the hard disk volume.

9. Next. move the mouse-pointer over the OK button

Undertake the following steps to turn off system restore on all drives.

1. Repeat steps 1 to 3 listed under heading 'Turning off System Restore on a Selected Drive'.

2. Various options present under System Restore tab appears.

3. Move the mouse-pointer over check box beside Turn off System Restore on all drives option and click the left mouse-outton. A tick mark sign appears inside check box indicating that the option has been selected.

4. Next. move the mouse-pointer over the Apply button present in System Properties dialog box and click the left mouse-button.

5. A System Restore dialog box appears. Move the mouse-pointer over Yes button and click the left mouse¬button. Windows turn off system restore on all drives.
