Almost overall installation process for all network operating system is similar. Here we are learning to install Windows Server 2003.

• Insert the Windows 2003 setup disk in the CD-ROM drive if the system has already a working operating system. A dialog box appears, asking whether to install Window 2003, click yes to proceed.

• If Windows server 2003 is used from a network drive, then open My Network Places and click on the shared folder that contains the distribution files, run Winnt32exe file.

• If operating system is first time installing in the, then boot the computer from bootable floppy disk that has CD-ROM support into the A drive and restart the computer, then first window that will appear will be MS-DOS command prompt type d: to switch to the CD-ROM drive, type cd\i386 then type winnt.
As the setup program proceeds, it leads through five distinct installation steps as describe follows:
