when set Up process will begin it start loading blue looking text screen. In that stage Set Up will be asked to accept the EULA and choose a partition o~ which to install 2003, and if that partition is new, you'll be asked to format it by using FAT, FAT32 or NTFS.
1. When computer starts insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. The setup checks the hardware configuration.
2. Once hardware inspection is over, Windows Setup dialog box appears. The dialog box prompts to press F6 key from the keyboard if additional SCSI adapters or other mass-storage devices are required to install. Do not press any key.
3. Once again, setup prompts to press F2 to run the ASR sequence. 00 not press any key.
4. Now setup will start loading all the required files and drivers.
5. The Welcome to Setup screen appears. Press the Enter key to continue the setup.
6. The Window Licensing Agreement screen will appears. Press the F8 key to accept the license.
7. Your computer restarts and message box appears. Press the Enter key to continue the setup. Now setup will ask for the partition. Configure your partitions from this screen and select one of the partition on which you want to install Windows 2003 server.
8. Setup will ask for a file system. Select the NTFS file system and press the Enter key.
9. When partition is created, select the file system to format the partition.
10. Once formatting is done, setup starts copying file.
11. Now setup display Regional and Language Options dialog box. Enter the correct information and click overthe Next button to proceed ahead.
12. After receiving information for your region and language, setup displays Personalize Your Software dialog box. In this dialog box, type your name and company's name. Click over the Next button to proceed ahead.
13. The setup displays Product Key dialog box. Type the 25 character key given at the back side of CD cover and click over the Next button. Incorrect product key will not let you proceed ahead.
14. After entering correct product key, setup displays Licensing Mode dialog box and prompts you to select a licensing mode. Select Per Server mode. and click over the Next button.
15. Next, Computer Name and Administrator Password dialog box came up. Type computer name and password and then click over the Next button.
16. The setup now asks you to specify date, time and time zone. Enter correct information in Date and Time Settings dialog box and click over the Next button.
17. Setup will ask for the Network Settings. Click on the radio button besides the Customize Setting option and click over the Next button.
18. In Networking Components dialog box, click over the Internet TCP/IP option, click over the Properties button.
19. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IPj Properties dialog box appears. Select Use the following IP address option and type addresses for IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, and Preferred DNS server After specifying addresses, click over the OK button. The Networking Components dialog box re-appears. Click over the Next button.
20. After the network settings are configured. setup will ask whether the server is a part of work group or domain. Click on the radio button beside the Domain and type
the name of domain. Click over the Next button.
21. Now the setup will resume copying files.
22. After coping files the setup will start installing the start menu items. This process will take some time.
23. Once the installation process is complete. computer boots up and settings applied to it.
24. Welcome dialog appears with message Press Ctrl + Alt+ Delete to begin. Follow the message and press Ctrl+AIt+Delete keys.
25. A Log On to Windows dialog box appears. Type User name and Password and click over the OK button.
