Thread: Apply or Modify Auditing Policy Settings for a Local File or Folder

1. Right-click over a folder and select Properties option.

2. In Properties dialog, click over the Security tab. Group and user names along with their permissions appears. Click over the Advanced button.

3. An Advanced Security Setting. dialog box appears. Select the Auditing tab and click over the Add button.

4. In Select, User. Computer. or Group dialog box type the name of the user or group in Enter the object name to select box and click over the OK button.



5. In the Apply to box of Advanced Security Setting dialog box, click auditing location.

6. In the Access box of Advanced Security Setting dialog box, indicate what action is needed to audit by selecting the appropriate settings.
