Thread: The Built-in Firewall In Windows XP

If you are using a Window XP as a router to share an internet connection for a small network, you can use the built in firewall feather to provide basic packet filtering firewall protection you just need to activate this feature as follows:



1. Open the Control Panel window and double-click over the Windows Firewall icon.

2. In Windows Firewall dialog box click over the radio button besides the ON (Recommended), option.

3. click over the OK button to activate firewall.
