The problem of slow shutdown when installed Windows XP SP2

Who would not say what, but the operating system Windows XP, proved to be a reasonably reliable (with due respect). My copy of Windows XP SP1, in a subsequent update to SP2, is working smoothly now, almost a year. I will not tell how much material to optimize OS, I have read, and how many different tweak programs tried. Many methods and techniques really proved useful, while others are seen as quite controversial.

As a result of these experiments, the system did not work on my most modern computer by today's standards, fast, stable and boots rather than many owners of modern iron. All would have been well, but recently I started noticing that the computer has slowly turned. At first I did not pay special attention to this, because of the fact that the computer was used intensively for 10-15 hours a day (like a large amount of background programs, purification of memory, etc., etc.) But the problem has become arise Increasingly, as the cut-off time could reach 5 minutes. Having decided that the more so, I could not live reviewed journal of events and "Annexes" saw the following:

First, the crux of the problem became clear to me, I thought that the mistake could cause a running firewall service. I disabled it start automatically, but the problem was repeated in the future. Then I started to turn cut off all of the program "Avtozagruzki" - it also fails, an error occurred again. I have already started to sin downloadable library dll in the shell of one prospective freeware archiver, and the board wanted to change the setting event log services, such as the decision to find itself.

From despair "vbyly" errors in the text search engine, and immediately got to the MS page with a detailed description of this kind of errors (1517, 1524, 1500, 1000) for Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0. To solve all these problems as MS specialists suggested "UPHClean service use (Microsoft User Profile Hive Cleanup Service). Service UPHClean computer monitors in the process of unloading the user profile and closes open resources. Result, the computer can unload, and then agree on user profiles." Reference to this benefit also was cited, but here is where the fun began. To get the file cherished suggested undergo a process of determining the legality of copies of the installed system. Moreover, it is long, so that's not very interesting to me ;-). Overall, the service had to go and download from alternative sources. (Later, however, found that it can be obtained from the official site and the manufacturer, even refusing to take control of the legal system, but some other references).

Installation of the service does not cause problems. I received UPHClean v1.5e version dates back to 4 March, 2004. After installing the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service prescribed in the system as a Process with automatic start, which took 320 KB of memory. The computer has become extinguished almost immediately - within 10-15 seconds. In the Journal of events "service leaves notes on its successful launch, and on the programme, which in turn-off, he forcibly terminates. What is it my surprise, when the program was not an outside manufacturer, and the "hometown" systemic. Now, some are marked with lines that need to seek the cause of the error, but so far so me and all like that. Everyone who is confronted with this kind of errors strongly recommend UPHClean service - it really helps!
