Configure Windows XP under the Dual System

OEM producer fired Dual machines on the market without the correct settings. According to the site Notebook Review, machines sold through retail with Windows XP SP2 on board were not configured appropriately.

It seems that Windows XP2 not automatically recognize on what processor it is installed on or not, so the setup was to be done manually. Not configuring Windows XP properly, the results can be obtained in such dire games like Oblivion.

To verify the settings need to make sure that the system did not optimized to work under dvuhyadernom processor - CTRL + ALT + DEL → speed.
Konfiguruem Windows XP under the Dual System

1. For Intel processors. Check whether the required upgrade installed Windows XP Hotfix Patch: KB896256 (not automatically loaded via Windows Update). If not - download and install.

For AMD processors. Check whether a mandatory upgrade Windows XP Hotfix Patch: KB896256 (not automatically loaded via Windows Update) and AMD CPU driver. If not - download and install (for AMD Dual Core Optimizer).

Comments for AMD:

* Install driver AMD CPU only when you have a processor from AMD.
* AMD Dual Core Optimizer (Optimizer for dvuhyadernogo processor AMD Dual Core) was a response to the removal of Multi-Core defect from Microsoft (with the first to get the upgrade, it was necessary to communicate by mail with Microsoft).
