I think we all agree that applying performance tweaks has the potential. to make life a bit faster - not to mention easier - on Microsoft Windows operating system. But like recurring night mares, misinformation continues to haunt the OS.
Enable SuperFetch in XP:
SuperFetch, a Vista feature, enables most used programs to load faster by storing them in the system RAM. Then someone jumped the gun and started this rumor about enabling SuperFetch in XP you'll also find many apps on the Web that claim to enable it. But there's a problem: there is no SuperFetch feature for Windows XP. However, Vista's SuperFetch is actually an improvement on XP's hit-and-miss PreFetch function, and no it can't be turned on in XP.
