Normally opening more than one copy of the same program will produce more than one button on the Windows XP Taskbar. If you need to have more than a few windows open - say a couple of web browsers and your email program - the Taskbar can quickly run out of space. To make things simpler, it's possible to group Taskbar buttons from the same program together. To activate this feature, right-click on an empty section of the Taskbar and select Properties. Tick the box labelled 'Group similar Taskbar buttons' and click OK.
