If you regularly use the Control Panel, you can have Windows show it as a list of icons in the Start menu. First, right-click Start, then select Properties from the menu that appears. In the dialogue box, click the Customize button, and then click on the Advanced tab. In the list of options that appears below, select 'Display as a menu' under Control Panel, then click OK and OK again. The next time you click on Control Panel in the Start menu, a new menu will open giving quick access to all the Control Panel items.
