Both XP and Vista allow any program in the Start Menu's Program list to be 'pinned' to the top of the Start menu where it's easy to find. To do this simply right-click the program and choose Pin to Start Menu. If this option doesn't appear in Windows XP you may have selected the Classic Start Menu - to undo this, right-click on Start, choose properties and select StaJ;1: Menu before clicking OK.
