Thread: Problem with the Sims 2 Installation.

I just recently bought a new computer and am trying to install the Sims 2 in the computer. It looks like it is departing, but then when I insert the disc 2 in it, it sounds like it's running, but then seems to freeze the computer. I also tried doing Ctrl + Alt + Delete and it says its running. I am logged in as the computer administrator. I haven't had any problems while reinstalling all my other software in the computer. We have the Sims 2, Sims University and the Sims Nightlife. We didn't have any kind of problems while installing it on our old computer.

Any suggestions??

Have u disabled your anti virus?
I first tried installing night life but it just kept spinning disc 2...so I started again with Norton disabled and it worked perfectly!

hello friends, I tried to install sims2 but I keep receiving this message: /DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and restart the game. I also know that my disks are fine, because I had the sims2 before, but I got this new PC and I can’t install it anymore, whyy?!?!?
