I have an XP SP2 computer in an SBS 2003 domain that doesn't display the text which is been typed in the computer description in My Computer / Properties when you can concern with a 'net view' command from the DOS prompt. The text is there, but the 'Remark' column for 'net view' remains blank. Microsoft also documented an issue KB231312 where the string srvcomment is more than 48 characters long, but this doesn't appear to be at the issue. (HKLM/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Services/lanmanserver/parameters/srvcomment[reg_sz]) the string in the registry is also correct, but by clicking at the name of the domain with the Microsoft Windows Network it will not grant you the correct name for accessing?
