Thread: Vista vs Xp

Which one should I install in my computer? I plan to play games so dx10 will be useful. Which one is the better from the overall, XP pro 64bit or vista ultimate 64bit

Asus m4a78 pro
4gb patriot ram
gtx 260 core 216
wd 640GB 16mb

So, what do you think, which one is the best and which will give me the best quality for games and also the speed for other applications in my computer?

If you desire to have a dx10 then it has to be windows vista only.

It doesn't have to be Vista to be dx10......well at least legally it does. I'm myself running Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my gaming tower and I love it with no problems at all. But if you aren't a fan of vista there are also different ways of getting the XP with the dx10 on your computer.

Windows 7 is an amazing and already as a beta (I had it to be pre beta too). Trust me I have my computer which has a dual booted with the Vista and XP that has dx10 I was also playing on it at the last night. I also have another drive which has windows 7 on it.
