Thread: Help desired for recover to encrypted the folder

hi!
I encrypted my personal data folder in windows XP by using the windows encryption by right clicking on the personal folder---properties--general tab---advanced---and selecting the encrypt option. I have 4 different hard drives and the folder wasn't on the drive in which windows XP was been installed. Lately I had to format my 'C' drive because of some Trojan in it. Now when I am trying to open the data in the folder -images give me this message--no preview and word files don't open. I have also tried making use of pheonix data recovery software--but still the files don't open.
Can anyone help me out with this problem?

If this doesn't work then your data is almost certainly gone; to the best of my knowledge, the file encryption used by XP has never been broken.
