The quickest way for starting up the Explorer in Windows XP is by the icon Name:  Starting the Explorer 1.gif

Click on Start
Select All programs
Select Accessories
Select Windows Explorer

The other way for exploring the Explorer in Windows XP from the Start button and choosing the My documents, My images or My music; the variation is that in these cases we will have to go access the folders directly.
